BAM – Burlesque Academy of Malta.
BAM – Burlesque Academy of Malta is the island’s destination to learn the Art of Seduction.
The school has weekly Beginner and Advanced classes under Undine LaVerve – the school’s Headmistress. Aspiring show girls and boys alike are welcome to join in the fun!
The classes consist of dance but not only – there are also acting exercises, body positivity exercises, character building, a lot of improvisation, as well as choreography.
Our BAM classes are not about being a great dancer but about loving yourself and the skin you’re in – the great and not so great bits; accepting ourselves and learning how to move seductively, feeling good about ourselves and getting in touch with our body, channelling sensuality.
We do learn choreography and moves, about different styles of Burlesque, some history, glove and stocking peels, using props and monthly workshops with foreign performers who come to perform at Malta’s Burlesque shows organized by Undine LaVerve and share their knowledge with the Academy’s students.
Some students attend to feel good about themselves and learn some moves / choreography and have fun; and some students go on to perform and become baby Burlesque performers under the mentorship of BAM’s Headmistress Undine LaVerve, as part of the House of LaVerve.
Once a year, BAM organizes a Student Showcase where all the students are invited to perform and show what they have learnt to friends and family!
Grab your heels and let’s Burlesque, darlings!

“Burlesque is such an art form that’s about body confidence, discovering your sensuality and female empowerment. And that’s exactly what the folks at BAM are doing.
With Undine LaVerve being the big boss, BAM offers classes for beginners through to advanced for aspiring show girls and boys alike.” – Lovin’ Malta.
